Methodist Rehabilitation Earns Prestigious Three-Year CARF Accreditation

Methodist Rehabilitation is proud to announce that it has been awarded a three-year accreditation by CARF International, the leading accreditor of health and human services. This recognition reflects Methodist Rehabilitation’s ongoing commitment to quality, safety, and excellence in rehabilitative care.

Following a rigorous site survey, CARF awarded accreditation for the following inpatient hospital programs:

  • Inpatient Rehabilitation Programs – Hospital (Adults)
  • Inpatient Rehabilitation Programs – Hospital (Children and Adolescents)
  • Inpatient Rehabilitation Programs – Hospital: Amputation Specialty Program (Adults)
  • Inpatient Rehabilitation Programs – Hospital: Stroke Specialty Program (Adults)

The accreditation is effective through May 31, 2028, and signifies that Methodist Rehabilitation’s services, staff, and processes have demonstrated a consistent pattern of conformance to internationally recognized standards of care. “This accreditation reinforces our belief that compassionate, evidence-based care changes lives,” said Andrew Hubregsen, Director of Inpatient Therapy & Program Director at Methodist Rehabilitation. “It’s a reflection of our team’s unwavering dedication to helping people recover, rebuild, and thrive—no matter the challenge.”

CARF’s accreditation process is known for its rigor, examining everything from treatment outcomes and safety protocols to administrative practices and patient satisfaction. Achieving a three-year term, the maximum awarded by CARF in an Inpatient Rehabilitation Setting, signals that Methodist Rehabilitation meets or exceeds expectations for high-quality care delivery. “This honor is about more than just meeting standards – it’s about setting them,” added David McMillin, Chief Executive Officer. “We’re proud to be a trusted destination for rehabilitation in Mississippi and beyond.”

As Methodist Rehabilitation celebrates its 50th year of service, this latest recognition reaffirms its unwavering mission: to restore ability, rebuild lives, and redefine what’s possible.
