Visitor Information for our Inpatient Hospital
The Importance of Friends and Family
At Methodist Rehabilitation, we understand how important family and friends are to the healing process. We welcome visitors and encourage loved ones to be part of your recovery journey.
Visiting Hours
Normally, there are no restrictions for immediate family members. In fact, caregivers are encouraged to attend therapy sessions for teaching and education purposes. We ask that you limit visitors to no more than three at a time, including your caregiver.
Parking and Entrance
Visitor parking is available in a designated area of our employee parking lot directly next to the building. The numerical code to enter the lot can be obtained by calling the front desk at 601-981-2611. Valet parking for those with mobility issues is also available near the front entrance of Methodist Rehab. There are also public parking lots on the University of Mississippi Medical Center campus off South University Drive, Central University Drive, and East University Drive. These pay lots charge by the hour. Parking passes for UMMC lots may be purchased through the UMMC business office. Please enter through the main hospital lobby, where our front desk staff will be happy to assist you with directions or any questions.
Patient Privacy and Safety
For everyone’s comfort and safety, we ask visitors to respect patient privacy, follow posted guidelines, and refrain from visiting if feeling unwell.
Supporting Your Loved One
Your encouragement makes a difference. Patients participate in several hours of therapy each day, so allowing time for rest and recovery is important. Families are welcome to join therapy sessions when appropriate—simply ask your care team for guidance.
Amenities for Visitors
Our campus offers several convenient amenities for visitors. The Cornerstone Café on the second floor serves lunch to the public Monday–Friday, 10:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. A full-service Chick-fil-A, Cups Coffee Shop, and Finch’s Gift Shop are located in the atrium on the second floor. Vending machines are on the first floor near the lobby, and an outdoor deck on the third floor provides a relaxing space to unwind.
