At Methodist Rehabilitation, our Outpatient Hospital Clinic provides comprehensive care for individuals recovering from stroke, brain or spinal cord injury, or living with neurological conditions such as multiple sclerosis, cerebral palsy, Guillain-Barré syndrome, or West Nile virus infection.
Located on the second floor of our main hospital, the clinic is open to all patients, whether or not you received inpatient care at Methodist Rehabilitation. We gladly accept outside referrals.
Your visit begins with a thorough assessment designed to:
- Identify and treat new or ongoing medical concerns
- Prevent secondary complications
- Educate you about your condition, medications, or upcoming procedures
- Order diagnostic tests or specialist consultations as needed
- Adjust equipment, orthotics, or prosthetics for optimal use
- Connect you with other helpful resources and services
Specialized Clinics
Our outpatient clinic also offers two focused services for common complications related to neurological conditions:
Urinary Function
We perform advanced bladder function testing, including videourodynamics, which uses real-time imaging to evaluate how well the bladder and urinary system are working.
Spasticity Management
Spasticity—an abnormal increase in muscle tone or stiffness—can make movement difficult and painful. Our Spasticity Clinic provides treatments such as Botox® injections, medical management, and intrathecal baclofen pump trials to help you move more freely and comfortably.
