Methodist Rehabilitation Physical Medicine, located at 1 Layfair Dr. in Flowood, is expanding its provider team with the addition of two new clinicians.
Joining the Flowood clinic are Michael Winkelmann, MD, with extensive training in internal medicine and physical medicine and rehabilitation and Alice Messer, DNP, FNP-BC, a family nurse practitioner focused on coordinated, patient-centered care. They join the established team of Philip Blount, MD and Ashley Jolly, FNP-BC.
Dr. Winkelmann brings a wide range of clinical experience that includes spine intervention, spasticity management, migraine care, Botox injections, and electrodiagnostic medicine. His international medical training in Austria, combined with decades of practice in Mississippi, contributes to a multidisciplinary approach that supports patients with complex rehabilitation needs.
Nurse Practitioner Messer brings more than three decades of experience, including a strong background in physical rehabilitation and neurological recovery care. She has worked extensively with patients recovering from stroke, trauma, and functional loss. She supports patients across the lifespan and works closely with physicians and rehabilitation providers to improve access, continuity, and coordination of care throughout the recovery process.
