About the Foundation

The Wilson Research Foundation is a 501(3)(c) charity and serves as Methodist Rehabilitation’s fundraising arm. Established with a seed gift by the H.F. McCarty, Jr. family, the Foundation is named to honor Earl R. Wilson, founding chairman of Methodist Rehabilitation, and his wife Martha, for their tireless work helping Mississippians reclaim their lives after a life-changing illness or injury.

Gifts to the Foundation help Methodist Rehabilitation achieve better outcomes for patients going through rehabilitation. This includes support for a thriving research program resulting in new treatments and better assessment tools. Gifts also provide state-of-the-art technology, advanced education activities and other initiatives that drive innovation and excellence at Methodist Rehabilitation. Your support is an investment in the recovery potential of our patients.     

Walk & Roll for Research

The Walk & Roll for Research is the Foundation’s annual spring benefit. Participants walk and fundraise in honor of patients past and present. It is a fun and heartwarming event, with no cost to attend. Corporate sponsorships are available.

The Foundation’s officers serve as the Gift Acceptance Committee, reserving the right to decline any gift not consistent with our mission or values, a gift that may have liabilities, or a gift that we feel would be too difficult or time consuming to manage or divest. At this time, the Foundation does not accept cryptocurrency donations.
