Antonio “Tony” Hayes, R.EP.T., R.NCS.T, is a research technologist specializing in electrophysiological studies. Tony earned a degree in biology (pre-medicine) from Jackson State University and joined MRC in 1998, shortly after the research program was established. While at MRC, he earned two certifications in electrodiagnostic medicine and attended the International University of the Health Sciences School of Medicine. In 2017, Tony was honored with the Technologist of the Year award from the American Association of Electrodiagnostic Technologists. He has authored several peer-reviewed articles. In addition to conducting research, Tony provides valuable support to the outpatient clinic by performing electrophysiological assessments of the intrathecal baclofen pump used in the treatment of spasticity.
